We do not hate you because of your opinions. We hate you because you have the power to wield your twisted opinions as weapons of oppression upon millions of us. We hate you for your brutal legal actions. We see you as star player on a deadly neocon team.

You have the right to your opinions. But you have no right to expect us to accept your abuses in silence. You have disgraced the afrocentric and  liberal legacy of Thurgood Marshall. You have reversed women’s workplace rights by decades. You have increased the torture of prisoners. You have murdered affirmative action.

We do not object to your “vision”. We simply see that you have none. You are blinded by your role as poster boy for racist  neocons like your mentor and master George Bush. Because your vision is dictated by those who control you, you see yourself as they do. We see you as you actually are.

We look at you and we see a man who attended Yale via affirmative action in admissions policies. We look at you and we see a horridly inept administrator who destroyed the EEOC. We see an incompetent and inexperienced attorney who was proven to be unqualified for any seat on the Supreme Court. We see a lewd sexual harasser of black women exclusively.  We see that you lied about Anita Hill. Yet, we see that you respect white women enough to wed one.

We see that you slandered your working poor sister as a “welfare queen”. We see that you neglected the female elder kin, whom she quit working to care for, while you chased white coeds at Yale. We see a man who is an intimate friend of Rush Limbaugh.  We look at you and we see a Supreme Nigger and a legendary neocon slave.

No one who studies your professional record can deny that you deserve to be hated. I have attached some research to this letter for those who remain arrogant about their ignorance of your antics, and thus sympathetic to your whining.  Traitors and tyrants are always hated. In fact, they are hated most by those who dictate their demonic roles. Secretly, you are disrespected by your puppeteers even more than you are resented by those whom you so flagrantly betray.

This letter is written to detail the clarity in our condemnation. Your opinions are the least of our concerns. Your individual actions continue to lead to our collective demise. We fear your toxic spirit and your lethal pen. How dare you ask us to "move on" as you persist in your massive attacks from your loathsome loft!!! For the record, we will move on only when you and your neocon peers have done the same.

"In five major cases involving civil rights and liberties during his two years on the bench, Thomas has voted against minorities every time.

HUDSON v. MCMILLAN: The Supreme Court held 7 to 2 that the severe beating   by Louisiana prison guards of an inmate who was hog tied on the floor, amounted to a violation of the 8th Amendment (against cruel and unusual punishment). Thomas and Scalia dissented...

ST MARY’S HONOR CENTER v. HICKS: The high court held 5 to 4 that in job bias suits where an employer lies to defend against a bias claim, the employee is not automatically entitled to a ruling in his favor. Thomas was the deciding vote. 

SHAW v. RENO: The 5 to 4 Supreme Court ruling will allow white voters in North      Carolina to object to racially motivated redistricting...The decision severely undercuts the Voting Rights Act...

From the time he was chair of the EEOC, I always considered Clarence Thomas to be the worst kind of racist...a black man who hates himself...he has politically established networks with some of the biggest white racists in the country, and helped to develop a political machine that stifled some of the social, economic, and  political progress of blacks as a whole.

That record makes Thomas what a New York Times editorial called the “cruelest” justice on the court.

His votes on the Reno vs. Shaw, St. Mary’s Honor Center and Hudson cases were giveaways. They lacked humanity. Civil rights is a life or death issue for people of color."

I apologize. Exactly three years ago, we ran a cover illustration of U. S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, resplendent with an Aunt Jemima-like handkerchief on his head. In retrospect, we were far too benevolent. Hence, this month’s cover with Clarence appropriately attired as a lawn jockey.  Even our latest depiction is too compassionate for a person who has done so much to turn back the clock on civil rights...During slavery, the lawn jockeys on plantations were used to  let other owners know when a slave had escaped. According to slave narrative, a lantern would be placed in the jockey’s hand and would remain there as long as the escaped slave remained free. Now you know why there’s a lantern in Clarence’s hand on our cover. That’s Clarence Thomas--he’ll leave a light on for you.

PRESLEY v. ETOWAH COUNTY: Voted to remove the budgetary power of the first Black commissioner to be elected since Reconstruction.

PODBERESKY v. KIRWAN: Voted to let stand an appellate court ruling in favor of a University of Maryland student who identified himself as white and Hispanic and who sued the university because he was not eligible for Banneker Scholarships used to attract high-achieving African-Americans.

WISCONSIN v. CITY OF NEW YORK : Voted not to require the government to adjust the 1990 Census to account for about 4.8% of Blacks and 5.2% of Hispanics believed to have been missed in enumeration.

SHAW v. HUNT & BUSH v. VERA: Voted to declare unconstitutional five congressional districts in Texas and North Carolina which were drawn to maximize Black and Hispanic political clout..

ARNAND v. PEÑA: Voted to limit affirmative action set aside programs aimed at helping minority businesses gain a larger share of federal contracts.

Thomas’s voting record has been extremely conservative, even on a conservative court...

Thomas’s opinions have earned him lavish praise from white conservatives such as talk show host Rush Limbaugh who was married in Thomas’s Virginia home.

Thomas has supported court decisions against Black congressional districts, urban schoolchildren, death row inmates, minority contractors, and affirmative action. Many of the key civil rights cases were decided by a 5-4 vote...

Perhaps the most scorching criticism of Thomas of that he is a hypocrite on affirmative action...In a 1993 speech before the EEOC, Thomas credited affirmative action policies with helping to lift him out of poverty, "But for them, God only knows where I would be today."

At Thomas’s confirmation hearings, officials from Yale University testified that he had been admitted to law school under an affirmative action program aimed at attaining 10% minority enrollment.

Thomas suffers from a level of racial self hatred which is clinically observable.

Most people know that whites who are prone to think Blacks are inferior don’t need affirmative action as an excuse to do it.

Now that affirmative action is no longer required, it has gone back to the good old boy network.

Yet after advancing his won career by conjuring up the ugly image of lynching, Thomas feigns ignorance about the daily indignities African-Americans suffer in the United States.

It is Thomas’s lack of historical perspective...that allows him to act so callously toward African-Americans.

True affirmative action requires selecting from a pool of qualified applicants, irrespective of race, gender, religion or national origin. It is more accurate to say that Thomas was picked as a token. How else does one explain appointing a Supreme Court Justice who had little or no experience as a defense attorney, prosecutor or law professor? Thomas had been in the U. S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. less than two years before being elevated to the high court by President Bush.

Some of the people now criticizing Thomas the loudest, are the same ones who quietly favored his nomination because he is Black...Joseph Lowery was wrong and he wasn’t alone. We need to raise questions of people like poet Maya Angelou, former chair of the NAACP Margaret Bush Wilson,  and Lincoln University (PA) President Niara Sudarkasa) who supported Thomas’s appointment... They owe black people--in fact all of America--an apology.

As Thomas sits on the Supreme Court, he remains one of America’s most horrifying nightmares..."

Please forgive me. I will not vote today. I will never vote again. I am 47 years old. I have voted diligently for 29 years. I truly feel that every vote has been in vain.

I revere you all. I appreciate every drop of blood you have shed so that I may vote someday. These surreal and horrid days I know are probably impossible for you to imagine.

We have a president who has a black parent. Yet, he has been the most flagrantly racist president in history. We have a president who looks like some of us. Yet, he is brazenly blind to every iota of our black pain. We have a rabidly elitist president who has lived a wealthy and exotic life, even as he pretends that he was once poor. Yet, he has exclusively brutalized poor people and their unborn children as no president before him.

He promised us hope and change. Yet, he has made every ill worse by deliberate design.

The hope you fought and died for is gone. The hatred and poverty we endure is unchanged. We have a half black president who has actually made black life in America more painful than I ever expected to witness.

We no longer have two political parties in America. Perhaps, we never really did. But, our political parties no longer even bother to mask their ruthless bloody charades. “Republican” and “Democrat” have glaringly become distinctions without differences. Our president gave 23 trillion dollars to rich white banksters who forged our current depression. Amorally, he has given literally nothing to the blacks who worship him.

Our president betrayed black female fans as he has nominated two Latinas to the Supreme Court. One of whom is a fellow bankster and the newest justice, but never even a judge. The Supreme Court is whiter and crueler than ever. No black person ever replaced Thurgood Marshall. A lying, sexist, soulless ogre named Clarence Thomas never counted. And, he never will.

Every election cycle has become a theater of the absurd. Black voters are brazenly ignored until election time. Then, we are seduced like fools and led like sheep into voting booths. Before our votes are tallied, our agendas are abandoned anew. As America becomes more inhumane to poor people, the Supreme Court has essentially declared that corporations are humans. Those corporate humans now openly rule our government and our world.

I refuse to vote for any elitist. There are no other options. I refuse to be a sporadic drone for incessantly corrupt politicos. I refuse to be played by those who dupe the masses at voting booths. I will not waste another vote on the least of lesser evils. I have decided that choosing between feces and excrement is indeed no choice at all. I will no longer stomach the political bile.

I will never vote again. But, I will also never abandon my debts to all of you. I will continue to be a superior educator and toil to save babies, many of whom are bred by parents who are even more inhumane than politicos. I will continue to be an ideal citizen, as all of you. I will continue to inspire and save gay teenagers from those who hate and torture them the very same way that rabid racists haunted and tormented all of you…

I will never stop living my best life or trying to make the world a better place. But, I have realized that America’s eternally brutal government and fatally corrupt politicians are the most toxic and destructive forces within our world. Someday, my eternal soul will dwell in a superior world, as I pray you all do now. There will be no politicos there!…

In 1984, her fascinating wisdom on the history of languages compelled me to compose a formal research paper. It was a linguistic analysis of “Black Vernacular English”. In 1996, as a rebel radio producer and host at KPFA in Berkeley, California, when its new moniker “Ebonics” exploded as a national controversy, I penned three columns...  I repost them now as a tribute to the beloved Dr. Smitherman. EBONICS: BLACK ENGLISH/WHITE WEAPON

 

I am proud to be a resident of Oakland, California. Oakland is home to the first school board in the nation to proclaim that Black English is a formal language. For centuries, racist educators have used language as a weapon to sabotage the educations of Black English speaking students. It has been a handy tool used to label them "retarded", warehouse them into special education curriculum, and set them upon fast tracks to lifetimes of academic failure.

In 1984, as a university senior, I wrote a paper on Black English. My research was simultaneously inspirational and depressing. I had proven that it was indeed a formal grammatical language. Yet, I never expected any school board to extend it the respect it so deserved.

Black English is a combination of African languages and Standard English. African Americans should be awarded linguistic medals of honor for its creation against impossible odds. To deter rebellion and increase fear and control, slave masters deliberately separated African slaves from fellow members of their tribes. Often, these same slave masters were functionally illiterate and ignorant of standard English themselves. From that linguistic stew of confusion, we fashioned a formal Black English.

Black English still merges formal rules of African languages like Ibo, Yoruba, Ewe, Tula, Mandinka, Wolof, and Mende. Just as in French, many of these languages have no "th" sound. Instead, the French speak "t". Instead, Africans speak "d". Thus, "theatre" becomes "tayatra" and "them" becomes "dem", respectively.

Many native African words are included in standard English vocabulary. For example, "goober, okra, uh-huh, and uh-uh" are all formal African words. But, as Black English is slandered as mere "slang", African contributions are also ignored. In this racist America, everything "black" is bad. (i.e. blackmail/ blacklist/blackball etc...) And, everything "African" is very Black and very bad.

Black neocons and racist whites who slander and resent Ebonics are only behaving as always. They always reject all that is Black. These same persons revere "differences" in other languages. Shakespearean English is regarded as theatrical and scholarly. French, Spanish, and Japanese are viewed as profitable and chic. Clearly, Black English is not being rejected for its difference, but for its blackness.

Some dare to claim that English and Black English are too similar to be separate. This is a bogus argument for any subject, but especially for languages. French is very similar to Patois, Creole, and Spanish. But, no neocon is slandering any of these languages. Some dare to reject Black English because elite blacks do not speak it. Many elite Chinese Americans do not speak Chinese. But, no neocon would dare ignore those Chinese students who do speak it. Some dare to claim that Ebonics will increase segregation. That is impossible! In the real world, we ARE segregated by race and class more than ever before! (For evidence, see a classic book titled Two Nations: Hostile, Separate, & Unequal by Andrew Hacker.)

I am fluent in French. I can hardly imagine how difficult it would have been to learn French without meticulously translating English during instruction. Reading is merely speech written down. If what is written is not what is spoken, the difficulty of the task is intensified. Students who speak Black English are unfairly forced to both decode and translate, simultaneously and automatically.

Just as with ALL other linguistic instruction, Ebonics will be used as a bridge to help black students master standard English. Such mastery is mandatory for success in a world where standard English rules in every arena. Neocons fear Black English will replace standard English. Like all racist fears, this is ludicrous.

Our cultural differences are real! Students should not be academically abused because of them. Ebonics will be victorious in academia. It will intellectually empower black students. Keep watching Oakland schools. You will see a sudden and drastic increase in black honors students and graduates. You will see far less black students being labeled as retarded or suspended, and dropping out.

REVISIONIST RACISTS - HISTORY & EBONICS

 

It is no surprise that the most accurate recounts of history are never found in standard textbooks. The best sources of accurate history are classic works by Native American and African-American authors like Sun Bear and  J. A. Rogers, respectively. Perhaps stories are always best told by victims rather than villains. Villains must always mythologize reality to dilute the poison of their own evil. Victims must reflect reality to dilute the poison of their own demise.

The rabid ranting of those who oppose Ebonics (primarily racist Caucasians and neocons in blackface) evidences something far greater than an arrogant ignorance of linguistics. It is a classic example of the dangers of denial. The very same denial that allows some to believe that the children of African slaves speak no remnant of ancient African languages, is the same denial that breeds blind patriotism.

Immigrants master standard English precisely because it is instructed as a second language. Ebonics will be used in exactly the same fashion with the exact same results. Only racists dare to compare persons of color as if we all came over on the same happy tourist ship. Just as our arrivals at these shores are vastly different, so are our histories, environments and experiences, especially in classrooms.

All Caucasians still benefit from slavery and racism. From the U. S. prison system to Fortune 500 corporations,  all capital can be traced back to free African labor and stolen resources. “The Pilgrims” were prostitutes and debtors, who stole every square inch of this land. They butchered millions of Native Americans and kidnapped millions of Africans. They lied to capitalist African chiefs about the uniquely bestial nature of slavery in the United States. They destroyed the top soil in Africa so that now Africans endure more desert and famine than any humans anywhere else on earth. But....we are to pretend that none of this is fact.

Just as we are supposed to believe African children are merely thuggish retards with a penchant for slang, so are we to believe that America is the “home of the brave and the land of the free”. Delusion and denial will never protect anyone from reality. In Oakland, we dare to be realistic about our history and our future!

History does repeat itself. For every action there is a reaction. Whether we believe any truth or not, it remains the truth.

“Indians” have been cast out upon reservations. But, this is still their land. Mexicans are labeled “illegal aliens”. But, they were here BEFORE the label makers. “Ebonics” is slandered and distorted. But, we are Africans and we do speak it. Currently, it does hinder success in the classroom. We have decided to remove that hindrance by treating black English as the language that it is. It will be used as all other languages in the instruction of standard English.

No fool has the right to tell one who is barefoot to “pull yourself up by your own boot strap”; especially if free Black labor is what purchased the fool’s designer boots. The vast majority of those who dare to bash Black English are nominally literate themselves. Classic example: Renowned sambo neocon Armstrong Williams’ speech before Congress regarding Ebonics. He busted more verbs and mispronounced more words than any Oakland student I have heard. It was truly comical, pathetically so. He also blatantly lied about his “French” instruction being 100% free of any English translation. (To tell the truth would have been to support Ebonics.) I hope Armstrong finds time to get some standard English tips from one of our budding Black scholars here, soon.

Standard English is mandatory in the marketplaces of America. Ebonics will be used expressly for the mastery of standard English; much like an instructional boot strap, to properly cover the feet of those now barefoot in academia.

To accept the truth is to expose a lie. To accept Ebonics is to admit a linguistic conspiracy against African language. In patriotic fashion, it is better that Black students remain uneducated, than to admit that educators have been racist and wrong. Without apology or permission, the Oakland School Board has decided to right that wrong.

Wounds heal best in open air. The failure of Black children in academia is a national and ancient wound. The chaotic winds of this debate will eventually form a scab. It will secure an intellectual revolution.

ON ARROGANT IGNORANCE

As a voracious reader, researcher, scholar, author, producer, talk show host, musicologist DJ, and tri-lingual revolutionary intellectual, I am always amazed by the bold fools who do not possess a library card, and never visit a book store, who dare to challenge my claims. I am always repulsed by the racist whites who will never heal from the wound that the Ebonics issue has inflicted upon their white supremacist delusions of intellectual grandeur. I am always amused by the eurocentric Blacks who mimic such bigoted bravado.

Those who object to Ebonics are afraid to admit that anything African can be legitimate and equivalent in any fashion. They are tricked by racist news editors who have blatantly lied about the Oakland School Board’s plans. They have absolutely no interest in the academic failures or futures of African students. They are singularly obsessed with the fact that uppity rebel niggers acted to save nigger children without neocon white permission or uncle tom apology.

Like the Oakland School Board, I will continue to ignore all who are arrogant about their ignorance of languages and cultures. But for those who are afrocentric and aware, I submit the following book list as my column this week. I do so for those who are aware that “language” extends far beyond vocabulary/slang  to include verbal conjugation, syntax, phonetics, articulation, cadence, enunciation, and much more. “Ebonics” is a new term for an ancient issue. Research “Black English” for droves of other resources.

In 1977, (Martin Luther King Junior School Children v. Ann Arbor School Board), 30 African parents won a lawsuit that charged their children were poorly educated, due to the lack of recognition of Black English as a barrier to standard English instruction. ON JILL NELSON'S REGAL RAGE!

 

Two of my most cherished possessions are books penned by a woman I adore. They are "Volunteer Slavery: My Authentic Negro Experience" and "Straight, No Chaser: How I Became a Grown-up Black Woman".  She is Jill Nelson. She is an author, sage, journalist, afrocentric activist, visionary, sister warrior, single mother, feminist, and one of my greatest inspirations.

I share Jill's love of sisterhood. I share her experiences as a middle-class child, who struggles with poverty as an adult, under the economic genocide of the New World Order. Most of all, I share her rage against racism and sexism.

Like Jill, I embrace my anger and express it regularly. I will do so always!. My anger is as much a part of my being as my joy. To deny my anger, or any other part of my truest self, would be suicidal.

Anyone who can live in this cruel, elitist, sexist, racist world and not be angry is insane/in denial. It is righteous to be angry in an evil world. Anger must be expressed. If I ever stop penning my anger, I may begin to express it in other ways. I may use fatal sex, bombs, crack, cocaine, alcohol, guns, or knives instead of my pen…

From “Straight, No Chaser”: “I write because I am angry. Angry at either being ignored or defined and spoken for by others… When we look in the mirror,  it's hard to put on a happy face, since no matter what we do we remain who we are, black women in America, invisible at worst, unattractive at best. When was the last time you saw a black male public figure with a brown or dark-skinned wife whose hair wasn't conked or woven? 

I used to try and escape my rage in notions of love, sex, orgasm, but even that does not work very often anymore. My rage's appetite has grown over the years, become more specific. Now it can only be satisfied by action, and not the pelvic kind…Recognize, understand, and put your rage to use…My rage is often so tangible I can have a conversation with it…There is no way to stay alive, a black woman in this culture and not feed my rage. Fed regularly, my rage grows stronger, wiser, more cunning…My rage is always present, never late, short or full of maybes...My rage, like Papa, don't take no mess. My rage says nothing to me but yes! yes! yes! And why not? What a host she has found in me, in this nation, in this moment...What better feeding ground for my rage than right here, with me, a black woman existing in a culture that despises women, and black people most of all. I am a two-fer in American hell. I have no intention of burning silently.”

As a lesbian, the abuse I suffer is intensified. In a world that hates "dykes" almost as much as it hates "niggers" and "bitches", my life is a trilogy of terror. Just as no sister can separate her African soul from her female soul, my lesbian soul is equally inseparable from my person and my politics. As Jill is a two-fer, I am a three-fer.

I refuse to fight with Black men for my space at the bottom of the world. While sisters cry: "Let's heal OUR wounds brother!", too many brothers cry "MY wound is BIGGER than yours sister!!!"  It is a phallic mantra that rapes our collective revolution. (It is very similar to the homohating cries that racist blacks spew at all gay activists: "OUR discrimination is BIGGER than yours, fag/dyke!!!")

Gender does not protect us from racism. Sexism doubles our burden. Brothers who are oppressed because of their skin oppress us because of our sex organs. We will not be silent as such fascist fallout trickles down upon us!

Macho misogynists love to whine about Black women being more employed. While they ignore our lower wages for superior work. They whine about the smaller populations of Black men on college campuses, while they ignore sexist professors who give superior grades/degrees to illiterate jocks like O. J. Simpson. Likewise, they ignore the rapid increase of campus date rapes, from fraternity houses to dormitories. They whine about Black men in prison, as they ignore the droves of Black women in identical cages, giving birth in chains to wards of states, fathered by men who never visit them.

Unlike white men, we do not have most of the political power and nearly all of the corporate money. Unlike white women, we are neither the wives nor sisters of the masters of the universe. We have no National Organization for Women or other group with clout to advocate for us. Even though Black women do most of the work in our communities, are the mainstay of the strongest organization African Americans have, the black church ...unlike black men, we seldom head churches, are elected to political office, are in leadership…White male politicians demonize me as a welfare cheat, illegitimate baby-making machine, and drain on government programs. 

Black men single me out when they need either help or an example of why they are "endangered" or hindered. I am asked to cook the food, stuff the envelopes, open my legs, and keep my mouth shut…” 

 

On my talk radio show, I often speak against all marches. I believe that they are all ineffectual, favoring style over substance. The flames of revolution must be fanned with FAR more than the winds of marching feet. I support NO marches, including The Million Man March.

I would rather see a million brothers gather to pay child support, promise to become superior fathers, or pledge to be monogamous. I loathe the sexism and gaybashing of the Nation of Islam. I am wounded by the misogyny of Louis Farrakhan and the lechery of Ben Chavis.

Whatever black men's failings in America, they pale by comparison to what was visited upon all black people by slavery and its continuing aftermath. When it comes to who needs to atone in America, black men are not at the top of the list…Black so-called leadership has accepted their consignment to the colored leadership ghetto, where their primary function is to either bemoan or denigrate the state of black people. They are never allowed to critique white people. Even through all the rhetoric and bad politics, Louis Farrakhan speaks to a broad spectrum of black folks because he dares to speak some truth, as many black folks see it, to white people, plain and simple…I found it hard to sit still and view the spectacle. To do so would have been to forget who I was, actively collude in my own erasure.”

 

I have spoken often of the brutality of Mike Tyson. Mike recently expanded his lengthy and documented record of assaulting women, to include Evander Holyfield and his ear. Unlike fellow rapist William Kennedy Smith, Mike did not receive a fair trial. Yet, he does not deserve the national fan club that dares to demand that we all regard a rapist as a hero!

I was first sad, then sick, then angry…Why is it when black women stand up for ourselves we're accused of attacking black men? Is it that we have no role other than adjuncts, supporters, and appendages?  Well here's what I say to those backward brothers: If your penis needs maintenance, go to an urologist, that's not my job…I cry like a baby when I hear about Deletha Word. Then I tremble with a rage so fierce my whole body vibrates. Then I go and swim for an hour and fifteen minutes. Afterward, even though I am eager to get home and lock the door, I do not drive fast and aggressively as I usually do, but slowly, cautiously, suddenly aware of another aspect of everyday violence, that for a black woman, a fender bender can mean death.”

 

Jill and I, and our kindred sister spirits are not bitter, we are battered! We are abused emotionally/racially/physically/politically/financially/socially etc…We are not anti-male. We are anti-misogyny. Many mindless females are misogynists too. We are not "bitches", we are survivors and warriors. We are not racists. We are realists. I prefer womanism to feminism because too many feminists prefer racism/elitism to global sisterhood.

In an era when neocons in blackface, like Ward Connerly and Ken Hamblin, reign supreme, by chanting blindly patriotic mantras of deception and delusion, Jill's political honesty and passion are healing. She can always be counted on for a regal reality check. In a world where denial is death, sister Jill is salvation for real life.

Jill eloquently describes another black neocon poster boy, Juan Williams.  Juan is to racist media what Colin Powell/Colon is to Republikkkans and what Clarence Thomas/Uncle Thom is to the Supreme Court. ON RIGHTEOUS RAGE:  AN OPEN LETTER TO  MY "BRUHS"

 

{As expected, I have received hostile reactions to my column on Jill Nelson. Cowardly men hate Jill, and me, because we dare to be honest and angry without apology. The following is written in response to these “brothers”. For the record, it is also written WITHOUT APOLOGY!!!}

 

 

My definition of a real brother and a real black man, is Malcolm X. I revere Malcolm because he dared to be angry, and to use that anger productively as fuel for his eternal role as a global rebel. His anger was the key weapon of his legendary, fierce, and fiery verbal and political combat. His raging and victorious battles, and his beautiful dark skinned wife Betty (recently reunited with him in loving spirit) are his eternal legacies.

Malcolm's righteous rage was often slandered. Ossie Davis referred to that slander as he delivered a poetic and profound eulogy at Malcolm’s funeral, February 27, 1965, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Harlem. I quote: “There are those who will consider it their duty, as friends of the Negro people, to tell us to revile him, to flee even, from the presence of his memory. To save ourselves by writing him out of our turbulent times. Many will ask what Harlem finds to honor in this strong, controversial, and bold young captain...Many will say turn away, away from this man, for he is not a man but a demon, a monster, a subverter and an enemy of the black man. They will say that he is of hate, a fanatic, a racist, who can only bring evil to the cause for which you struggle...”

In an interview with Alex Haley (Playboy, May, 1963), Malcolm stated; “What I want to know is how the white man, with the blood of black people dripping from his fingers, can have the audacity to be asking black people do they hate him. That takes a lot of nerve.”

In a classic book entitled "Malcolm X: Speeches at Harvard", by Archie Epps, Malcolm said:

“...It is absolutely inhuman for a man to let a dog bite him and not fight back. Let someone put water hoses on his woman, mother, daughter and babies and not fight back. He is sub-human. The day he becomes human, he will react as other human beings have reacted.”

 

Sexist black men prefer that all women be nothing like Malcolm. They prefer that we be silent and not expressive. Smiling not angry. Cooing not crying out for revolution. As slaves to white supremacy, they prefer that sisters be chocolate caricatures of Miss Ann. She stood by and watched silently, or assisted, as white men abused black slaves. Today, many white women still stand by and watch, or assist, as white men wield Proposition 209, the welfare bill, the crime bill, biological warfare, chemical warfare etc... As always, their silence is consent, their assistance is evil, and such collusion is always wrong!!!

Yet, their silence and support for evil white men is revered by weak black men who are arrogantly ignorant strangers to angry white women like Gloria Steinem, Andrea Dworkin, Gloria Allred, and Valerie Solanas. Such “bruhs” dare to feel betrayed or “emasculated” exclusively by sisters like Jill and I. They have an exclusive aversion to our anger as they hypocritically, and simultaneously, dare to be angry with us. They ignore the racists who run this brutal world, as they reserve their anger exclusively for sisters. We are easier targets for their misdirected machismo.

Too many brothers expect sisters to suffer in silence. They expect us to quell our anger, by any means necessary. As females, we are expected to smile incessantly, even when where there is nothing to smile about. Angry white men express their anger daily via racism, sexism, police, and politics.

Angry white women express their anger daily via elitism, feminism, and sex with black men. Angry black men express their anger daily via sexism, violence, and sex with white women. How dare anybody expect black women to be emotionless androids in this angry mix!!! WE WILL EXPRESS OUR ANGER ALSO!!! HOWEVER WE CHOOSE!!! OUR VERY SURVIVAL DEPENDS UPON OUR DOING SO INCESSANTLY!!!

When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and the weak get evasive and rhetorical. Just as the slaves who were afraid to rebel or run said “Well...massa do be feedin’ us regulah...”, so do their cowardly kinfolk today say “Well...anger is unhealthy and scary...and roses still bloom...” Just as the world becomes worse than ever before, as more anger is evoked and inescapable everywhere, only cowards decide that anger is “negative”. NOTHING is as negative as the causes of our collective anger!!! NOTHING is as negative as the New World Order!!!

I say NOT being angry is NEGATIVE, UNHEALTHY, and INSANE!  I have no ulcers. I have no delusions. I have no internal timebombs ticking away beneath feigned smiles. I have no regrets. My rage explodes regularly herein. If you cannot take the heat, stay out of my cyberkitchen!!!

Too many persons suppress their rage until it becomes unpredictable and suicidal. Too many Black men unleash their rage upon their random fellow Africans, while their real enemies blissfully exist. "Bruhs" eagerly attack womanists like Jill and I, “bruhs” swiftly conspired to kill Malcolm X, Huey Newton, and Tupac Shakur; but Pete Wilson, Jesse Helms, Newt Gingrich, Clarence Thomas, and Ward Connerly are all alive and well. These “bruhs” protest brutal police who beat their sons in private, but tolerate the public drug dealers who poison their sons in plain view. These “bruhs” never harass and slander Ken Hamblin, Larry Elder, or Rush Limbaugh with the venom they spew upon me religiously.

To these twisted, sexist fools I say: BRING IT ON BRUH!!! I would rather die than live by cowardly lies, love anyone unconditionally, or stop telling rebel truths!!! Wounds heal best in open air. Consider my blogs electronic emergency care. Consider my radio shows oxygen via airwaves. I am proud to use all of my media as medicine for what ails our belated revolution!!!

We are ONE! United we stand. Divided we fall. We share the same racial wounds. We should be allies ALWAYS. But, we are far too often enemies. Why? Because we sisters heal our wounds in superior fashions. We are weary with watching "brush" who infect their wounds and disgrace real brothers as they worsen all black wounds in America.

The difference between "niggers" and Africans is that "niggers" deny the realities that Africans embrace and seek to rectify. Stop excusing and enabling black flaws! Fix them! The first step to any solution is to admit the problem!

For those “brothers” who have a problem with sisters because you prefer Miss Ann, go hang out with O. J. Simpson. He needs some company these days. I refuse to mimick Nicole for your comfort!!! Just as black kids sit together in cafeterias because they grew weary with the myths and madness of integration, sisters are weary with the myths and madness of sexist lost "bruhs". If we cannot be with real black men like Malcolm, we would rather be alone. To all of you court jesters posing as African kings, KISS MY ANGER!!! TWO TIMES ON EACH CHEEK!!!

For every single mother, there are MORE absent fathers! For every exhausted grandmother, forced to rear her grandchildren, left by selfish, abusive, incarcerated, or murdered children, there are MORE grandfathers who have been absent for DECADES! For every Black woman who dates white men exclusively, there are FAR MORE "bruhs"who date white women exclusively. Whoopi Goldberg is bashed for dating rich white men, while O. J. Simpson is praised as some hero for marrying (and murdering) a teen-aged waitress who was a high school dropout.

I adore REAL black men. And , they love me too. They are friends, family, and heroes who are NEVER haunted by the truths that I pen, because they live as shining exceptions to them. Once again, I am shocked and appalled at what passes for “political thought” at Black America Web (BAW). Just as I was feeling sincere appreciation for BAW’s honoring my murdered grandfather, Isadore Banks, some arrogantly ignorant brother swiftly abbreviated that emotion. Gregory P. Kane made an absolute fool of himself while unfairly attacking John F. Kennedy (JFK) in order to curiously slay Erykah Badu. Slaying sisters often blinds illiterate, amoral, and sexist “brothers” to the reality of revolution and real revolutionaries.

It is ironic that my grandfather Isadore and JFK had much in common. Both men were notorious womanizers. Both were feared and envied as alpha males. And, both were fearless legends and mavericks in a world of envious mundane cowards who conspired to slay them. Both men are heroic and revered. My grandfather was slain by racist Klansmen. JFK was slain by a posse of rabid bankers angry because they could not make him become a clone of their current puppet in chief, President Barack Obama/Hobama.

What is ironic is that the sexist historical moron at BAW has clearly never read anything about JFK’s public execution, as he focuses his hatchet job solely upon JFK’s failed handlings of sporadic racial incidents. No president is flawless. But, no president has ever been publicly executed for something as staunchly American and presidentially pervasive as racial cluelessness. Hobama is half African and demonstrably even more racially clueless than JFK! What is honestly worse? Failing at botched black agendas as JFK did. Or, brazenly boasting about boldly ignoring black agendas as Hobama does each day!?

Many scholars would argue that racism is a pervasive American ill that every president has exhibited to some degree. Responsible scholars would be forced to include Hobama in that list as his own policies have openly excluded the black race more than any of his white presidential peers. Hobama is a blackish clone of King Shrub/George W. Bush. Bush was undeniably and proudly one of the most rabidly racist presidents in American history.

Political, financial, and scientific scholars know that JFK was one of the most revolutionary presidents in American history!!!  Unlike the hologram hoax that is Hobama, JFK was also the last president to wield actual significant power in office. JFK was so very revolutionary that he printed his own currency under Executive Order # 11110. Hobama is a brazenly insatiable cash cow for the very same Federal Reserve that JFK legendarily defied and sought to destroy!!! Hobama continues to shamelessly bilk the poor to incessantly fatten the stuffed coffers of the very same bankers that JFK courageously and diligently sought to limit and control.

Hobama’s entire inner circle is masterfully controlled by a callous cadre of the Federal Reserve’s veteran power brokers, combined with a beloved posse of career banking criminals from Wall Street! They include: Timothy Geithner, Lawrence Summers, and Paul Volcker. The very same Bilderbergers who executed JFK have embraced and encircled Hobama as they ravage and bankrupt our entire global economy!!!

In addition to being financially revolutionary, JFK was also scientifically revolutionary. Many expert ufologists believe that JFK was assassinated for daring to schedule the  release of classified information to a public filled with people who are truly conceited enough to  believe that they are the only life forms in an unfathomably immense universe. They are proudly illiterate cowardly fools who have no knowledge of countless planets that exist outside of our dated and incomplete solar system. They dare to snub the Dogon tribe and their technologically inexplicable and ancient cosmic knowledge that remains superior to any NASA executive.

Life is full of surprises. I am pleasantly surprised by the new U. S postage stamp that honors Malcolm X/El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. Afrocentric Americans are rarely revered so. Though many more should be.

Malcolm deserves this reverence. He earned it as a global ambassador for racial and economic revolution. Malcolm was a proud Pan-African American. This new American symbol will lend balance and respect to other symbols which have been bastardized.

The symbolic film “X” was both parody and history. Malcolm’s biography was grossly abbreviated by director Spike Lee’s signature animation. Denzel Washington’s acting gifts added classic magic to this severely flawed film.

Those symbolic Neo-Nazi fashioned T-shirts, that racist Georgians love to don, are emblazoned proof of their beloved racist Georgia state flag, beneath logos which scream: “YOU WEAR YOUR X AND I WILL WEAR MINE!”. Perhaps this stamp will inspire a few fools to wear their T-shirts inside a library where they might research Malcolm and his sane and superior X.

I hope this stamp will move a nation beyond slander to research. Maybe more people will now choose to really know Malcolm’s legacy. They may come to understand the true meaning of his healing X. One which is completely unrelated to the wounding X on the bigoted bright red face of Georgia’s racist flag.

Malcolm adopted his X as an act of reclamation. It was a protest of the rapes of his ancestors. It was embraced to symbolically rectify the annihilation of his African heritage and native family name. The Georgia flag’s X symbolizes the very same racist evils which Malcolm’s X was destined to defy.

I know that Malcolm deserves this postal honor. I think he would also be surprised and amused by this stamp. Just as Malcolm now holds a special place at the post office, he will always hold a special place in my heart.

I love Malcolm for many reasons… He refused to be passive when being so was even more encouraged and rewarded than it is now. Malcolm was carnally wise. He was sexually secure with all sexualities. He chose to grow beyond a tough hustler to become a tender husband. He conquered his own eurocentrism and colorism as he became an afrocentric Pan-African. He refused to gaybash in his autobiography. He bravely battled his own sexism as he loved and cherished the budding feminist Dr. Betty Shabazz. And, one of his best friends was a lesbian.

Malcolm chose to seek superior educations in arenas where most seek only superior criminality. He chose to love an ebony black queen while his renowned peers were typically wooing and wedding the whitest women they could find. He adored his black baby girls and never whined about not having a son as most sexist fathers do.

Malcolm X would refuse to pretend that the blackish Hobama was not a corporate green “house nigger”!!!. He would refuse to be silent about Hobama’s rabidly elitist abuses of poor people. He would never be silent about how Hobama incessantly betrays blacks who masochistically and suicidally adore him.

Malcolm will always be my most regal King. He will be my ideal leader forever. The U.S. government slandered and stalked Malcolm while he lived. Now that he has gone to a superior place, the least the U. S. can do is pay him some belated respect. The USPS owes us all this one...

I will never pray for your Barack because he only prays for banksters. Let your Barack’s beloved banksters return that exclusive favor. I will exclusively reserve my own prayers for the poor soldiers and civilians your Barack has trapped and betrayed, who are dying in endless global wars. I will pray for teachers who are being horridly scapegoated and fired in droves as your Barack and his corporate charter cronies deliberately destroy public schools. I will pray for the droves of jobless and homeless poor people who your Barack has left devoid of any spiritual peace or clean lives for decades to come…

I will never pray for your Barack as he chose the most unclean spirits in America to comprise the entire dirty Wall Street and Trilateral Commission posse that is his regime. I briefly felt spiritually connected to you as a 47 year old black sister native of Chicago whose middle name is Michelle... But, then I learned that your Barack was a blood cousin of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. And, I learned that your Barack was born into the CIA. I also learned that your Barack’s revered friend Valerie Jarrett is an even bigger slumlord than Tony Rezko.  I have learned far too much to ever waste a single prayer on any  spiritless elitist like your Barack.

The most painful lesson I have learned about your Barack was that even his black spouse was not the sister I presumed. I learned that you were disbarred in the state of Illinois and no one actually knows why.  I learned that you dumped patients as a Chicago hospital administrator. No true sista would ever do that. Your Barack is starving people as never before. It is morbidly ironic that you attack obesity while poor people cannot afford real food. Starvation trumps nutritional education always.

Since 2007, I have suffered ongoing abuse from black racist fools because I dare to look beyond half of your Barack’s skin. Like Tavis Smiley and Dr. Cornel West, I have been brutally libeled and slandered for daring to call out the uniquely unclean political policies of your Barack. Your Barack has deliberately divided this country by race and class more brutally than any president before him.

Contrary to Hobama Nazis’ fantasies, racism is no relic. There is nothing “post-racial” about America or any other country in our historically white supremacist world! Millions of Americans of all races worship President Hobama/King Shrub 2.0 precisely because he has yellow skin and reads eloquently. Initially, Hobama’s darker skinned wife Michelle was far more ruthlessly attacked racially simply because she is visibly blacker than Hobama.

 

Harry Reid has accidentally and belatedly given the world a teachable moment about the ongoing and rabid colorism and racism that poison all arenas. Young black men are arguably far more colorist than Reid. Have you really watched any music videos lately? Have you heard about how Fluff Daddy/P-Diddy contractually rejects brown women in his liquor ads? Are you aware of a wannabee rapper named Yung Berg and how he brazenly degrades women with “dark butts”? Have you heard the similar and typical lyrical worship of women who are only “half black” in songs like Nelly’s “E.I”? Heard the hit song “She Fine”  by country rap star Hurricane Chris that uniquely reveres the yellow skinned bi-racial Halle Berry ? Did you notice that only all of the yellow skinned people in the film “Precious” were angelic? I created, produced, and hosted popular talk radio shows in Atlanta from 1986 until 1996. As a native Chicagoan, I am still traumatized by the shameless colorism and racism that callers incessantly flaunted. I distinctly recall every dark skinned black person who ran for any elected office being brutally slandered and disrespected during every mayoral election cycle. During that unforgettable decade, any candidate that did not have yellow skin and “good/(read: curly/straight/silky…) hair”  need not apply. It is refreshing to see the new mayor of Atlanta finally look like most of the black voters.

 

Most students are proudly illiterate in America. Hobama is an expert reader. His verbal skills are a global asset. Perhaps his only real worth as a blackish role model is how he demonstrates the universal power of verbal and literary acumen. Again, we have foregone a teachable moment regarding how linguistic skills can empower students much more than any incoherent slang or dimwitted rap lyrics.

 

Hobama expertly evades his blackness daily. He has openly refused to attend numerous black events. He has refused to utter a single word about Oscar Grant or Sean Bell. He has legendarily gutted HBCUs. He has blatantly ignored the horrid poverty and violence in Chicago beyond his karmically failed Olympic bid. He has left blacks uniquely hopeless and universally homeless. He has left blacks most jobless and most joked. Hobama has become deliberately green as he has flagrantly and exclusively acted as president of the mega-rich.

 

Shame on the arrogantly ignorant and boldly biased turbo partisan democrats for pretending that Reid did not speak racist truths!!! This denial is especially tragic as Hobama continues to do everything he can to dodge blackness and remain rigidly blackish to American voters and global fans. Hobama and his robots rushed to quell and silence this necessary racial conversation. It is yet another tragic example of how instantly the blackish Obama evades all black issues.

“SANKOFA” is my favorite film about my ancestors. It is an epic film on the enslavement and genocide of Africans. In Sankofa, we see slavery through the eyes of rebel slaves. Many slaves were warriors, despite their omission from America’s history books.

SANKOFA is unique in so many classic ways. It chronicles the blood ties between Africans and Native Americans, who refused to be passive servants to whites and fled to freedom. They are the warriors who sparked the sheroic spirit of Harriet Tubman. SANKOFA illustrates the power of history to awaken those in denial about their heritage. It should be mandatory viewing for a few black neocons that may not yet be beyond all spiritual hope. Most strikingly, it reveals the mental and spiritual poison of white religion on black minds and souls.

It is human nature to fashion physical images of gods. All gods are ideally universal spirits who have no physical bodies. Yet, we are compelled to assign our gods faces, genders, and races. Why are some Africans the only people who worship gods who look NOTHING like them? Because white supremacy is an ancient and global reality. A reality that has given them eternal white gods, in the mirror images of their demonic white oppressors.

Why do racist whites, who would never worship in churches where there are black images of Jesus, demand that Africans worship in churches where images of Jesus are white like them? Why do they deny that Jerusalem is in Africa? Why do they deny that Jesus looked more like Jimi Hendrix than David Lee Roth? Ancient catholic images of Jesus depict a black skinned African with an afro. Even today, the Vatican houses images of a very Black Madonna and Christ child.

Mutabaruka is one of the most gifted and beautiful African men in the universe. He is a legendary roots reggae superstar, dub poet, and a superior actor. He is also one of the heroic and beloved stars of SANKOFA. His character, Shango, is an angry and defiant rebel warrior, who adores and protects Black women, relishes bravery, and refuses to be the “happy darkie” that so many racist, revisionist historians romanticize. Shango lives on...in the spirits of Mutabaruka, Malcolm X, Geronimo Ji Jaga, Maxine Waters, Cornel West, Bell Hooks, Sapphire, Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, Winnie Mandela, Ramona Africa, The MOVE 9, Mumia Abu Jamal, and many more.

The most despised and pathetic character in Sankofa is a mulatto overseer named Joe. He is devoutly religious, adores his masters and hates black women. Joe lives on also...in the spirits of O. J. Simpson, Dennis Rodman, Clarence Thomas, Ken Hamblin, Cyrus (of MTV’s “The Real World”), Ezola Foster, Courtney Mann, Star Parker, Johnnie Cochran, Larry Elder, Armstrong Williams, Yung Berg, Fluff Daddy/P-Diddy/Sean Combs, Byron Crawford, Shelby Steele, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Tom Joyner, Al Sharpton, Eddie Long, Alveda King, Bernice King, Chad Ochocinco, and far too many more.

We all have the divine right to create our own images of God. I refuse to allow white supremacists to define anything for me! They especially have no power over my African images of my highest power. May your God bless you as mine blesses me!...

Lastly, I quote my favorite Mutaburaka song, “The People’s Court II”:

The first charge is for misleading Black people into their color blind blindness. You have Black people worshipping everything white as good. White Jesus. White-winged angels. White Christmas. Even the songs talk about ‘whiter than snow I long to be...’...So you trying to tell me that if my sins are white instead of scarlet, God will accept my sins?

Michaelangelo’s painting of his uncle, for years Black people keep revering this picture as the picture of Christ...all of your religious holidays originate in Europe. Everything in heaven is white? Everything in hell is black?..

You are also charged with misinterpretation. You have twisted the bible to suit white supremacy. You have taken stories and culture of other books much older than the bible and made them into myths. Have you ever read the Egyptian Book of the Dead?

It is because of you that the DJ’s have no respect for our black woman. You have painted a picture of woman as the originator of sin. You have made woman look inferior in all of your religious books. You have been preaching a sexist doctrine to our people from Eve til now. You have blamed woman for the downfall of the world. You blamed Delilah for Sampson’s stupidity. You have even placed sin on sex. Saying that Mary was a virgin all her life. With these images, what do you expect from our people?

You even have the earth as only 6000 years old. Maybe the history of Europe is only 6000 years. But Black people have been here long long before...They call themselves the Church of the Latter Day Saints or Morons, or Mormons as you call them...that same denomination has been preaching for years that Black people cannot enter heaven...They should never be allowed into a country that is predominately Black to preach about God...

You have been collaborating with the politicians to trick Black people. You have branded Voodoo and Yoruba and all African oriented traditions as "paganism". Yet, YOU have people going to church trying to drink the blood of Jesus and eat his flesh...It is YOU they should be asking to lead them not into temptation..

I hereby sentence you both to 1000 years for swindling people by way of radio and TV. I also give you 1000 years for each year that Black people have been suffering since [Christopher ‘Come-Bust-Us’] Columbus came here..Now, take them away!!!”
