1998

There is so much about this movie that I love. There is so much more about it that I hate. What I hate most is that it falls so very short of such a very wonderful book.

Please read BELOVED by Toni Morrison today. Only then can you relate to the sacred place that this book holds in so many hearts. And, only then can you appreciate the great disgust that the film caused in so many hearts.

The acting in this film was superior overall. As always, Kimberly Elise was magical. Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover also gave typically solid performances. The sets and costumes were beautiful and magnificent. The lighting and special effects were first rate. But, nothing is as important to the success of any film as the direction and personality of its central character. Therein lies the eternal curse upon the film “Beloved”.

Thandie Newton is a superior actress. It is legendarily shameful that she was so misdirected in this film. She deserves and is capable of a far better performance. 

In the book, Morrison took generations of African female pain and wove them into a haunting tale as multifaceted and complex as a patchwork quilt. Oprah and her crew took that quilt and shredded it into a confusing pile of pretty rags. What was haunting became annoying. What was tragic became comical. What was profound became inane.

In the book, Beloved is the incarnation of a wounded soul on a healing mission. In the film, she is the incarnation of a black female “Beetlejuice” on a crack high.

This is not the first time a classic black literary gem has been destroyed on film. And, it will not be the last.Hollywood’s films routinely destroy the powerful afrocentric realities of authors’ creations.

Recall “Native Son”. Bigger Thomas was a neurotic dunce rather than a tortured victim. Recall “The Color Purple”. Celie and Shug were two freaky friends who engaged in a one-night stand, rather than spiritually connected lovers and eternally soul mated spouses. Recall “X”. Malcolm was more naive local hero than visionary global Pan-Africanist.

Even by comparison to the above Hollywood hatchet jobs, “Beloved” is uniquely flawed. This film may even have been cursed by the bad karma that preceded its making: Actress Akosua Busia penned the original screenplay. Oprah bought it for a paltry fee. Only after a quickly won lawsuit was Oprah forced to return Busia’s name to her screenplay. Perhaps that legal victory can only be viewed as a libelous association with a wretched work now.

Oprah’s artistic amnesia seems to recur in a beautiful coffee table book titled JOURNEY TO BELOVED. This book includes breathtaking photography by Ken Regan. Curiously, it does not include a single reference to Busia.

I wanted to love this film as much I love the book. Unfortunately, that is impossible. They are just too incredibly different in ways that degrade this classic novel as deeply as they destroy this film. And, that saddens me incredibly.

What has Palin done that is any more Republican than the rabidly elitist and incessantly lying Democratic Hobama/GWB 2.0? Other than expertly read eloquent speeches written by skilled drones, what has Hobama done to prove that he is any more intelligent than Palin? How has Palin demonstrated that she is any less devoted as a parent or spouse than Hobama? What has Palin done to betray gays more than Hobama and his posse of rabid gaybashing bromancers? As president, could Palin possibly bilk the poor any worse than Hobama has done?...

Hillary Clinton is the only politico who has ever been more ruthlessly abused by sexist media than Palin. The relentless venom of Palin’s misogynist detractors was most evident on a recent cover of Newsweek magazine.  All of the “-isms” are related. Racist editors at Time magazine similarly blackened O. J. Simpson’s image to make him appear more stereotypically evil and murderous. Likewise, brazenly sexist Newsweek editors played the short shorted leggy bimbo card on Palin by splicing a completely unrelated and inappropriate photo of her onto its cover. Just as Kanye West would never have run up on any male artist the way he did the young female Taylor Swift, misogynists in media have become maniacal as they uniquely slay Palin’s image more deliberately and viciously each day.

Proving that gender trumps politics, many of Palin’s most abusive attackers are her macho Republican peers. Most men still secretly prefer that women remain barefoot, pregnant, and silent. Palin’s sexist enemies unmask the permanence of such misogyny more each day.

I am deeply disgusted by the hoax that is Hobama/GWB 2.0. As never before, Hobama has glaringly proven that Republicans and Democrats are political distinctions without practical differences. I am enraged and repulsed by the insanely misogynist wilding that is being increasingly wielded against Palin. Palin earned my respect when she held her own in campaign debates. I will never vote again. But, Palin has earned my protest vote for president in 2012!...

NO KISSING MEN SEEN!

I love Warren G. I think he is talented and cute. I love California. I love Warren’s signature West Coast sound. But, I hate gaybashing hypocrisy more than I love anything!!!

Warren recently said one of the most hypocritical and moronic homohating things I have ever heard. He said that all gays should be banned from television because his children may see men kissing. Warren is afraid that sexuality is contagious. It is not! Warren fails to realize that millions of gay children ONLY see men kissing women on TV. And, we STILL grow up to be homosexuals.

Heterosexuality and homosexuality are equally innate. Unlike sexuality, violence is learned. Like hatred and ignorance, violence is highly contagious indeed. Ironically, Warren is famous for violent videos and gangsta rap lyrics. Warren is curiously unaware that his children should not be watching his own work on TV!!!

Kissing gay men are not destroying Black America. Kissing gay men are not feeding the increasingly lucrative and insatiable Prison Industrial Complex. Kissing gay men are not impregnating and abandoning droves of women who impoverish Black progeny financially and spiritually. Kissing gay men are not legendarily slaying children in Chicago …

Recently, in my violent hometown of Chicago, a beautiful and gifted honors student named Derrion Albert was beaten to death by a mob of ruthlessly inhumane and rabidly illiterate black peers. One of the amoral teens jubilantly filmed Derrion’s brutal murder on a cell phone. That video has gone viral. I have watched it several times. I have seen NO gay men kissing on that video.

Warren’s gangsta rap music has contributed to the violence that plagues our bloody world. I have never seen gay men kissing in ANY of his videos. I have never heard his lyrics mention ANY gay men kissing.

Bigotry is ignorance. Ignorance is illogical. Nothing is as illogical as ignoring the vicious and fatal evil that gangstas, and those who idolize them, do while fretting over gay men kissing on TV!

Warren needs to “regulate” the madness of his moronic homohating hypocrisies. He must make sure that his children never watch his own violent videos on TV. And, he should fear heterosexual men shooting guns much more than he fears gay men kissing lips…

MORE BLACKISH BETRAYALS FROM THE HOMIE HOAX HOBAMA

The blackish Hobama is getting bolder as he becomes secure in his role as the globe’s elitist in chief. Each day, his blackish swagger is unmasked as the stroll of a corporate whore. Hobama proves to us daily that he is more money green than maverick black, more capitalist than cool, more ruthless than revolutionary, and more brazen monster than “brother man”…

Hobama’s illustrative incidents are incessant: Black children in Chicago have been fatal targets for violent armed peers for years. Hobama has not bothered to address or even mention this tragedy, other than to call out one racist editor who shamelessly used a photo of Hobama’s own two unrelated and uniquely safe children in an article about this violence. Clearly, Hobama was solely concerned with the image of his living daughters rather than the insanity of dead children in Chicago.

Now, Hobama selectively ends his silence about Chicago’s affairs to travel all the way to Denmark and pimp the Olympics. When will adoring black Hobama Nazis awaken to discover that the pending Olympic Games are nothing compared to the perpetual political games that have been played upon them? Hobama has earned a political gold medal for duping the multicolored masses nationwide.

Hobama’s Olympian Games have just begun. We will ALL be played until 2016. Black children in Chicago will continue to be slain and ignored. We the people will remain global losers for decades…SHAME ON YOU Hobama/GWB 2.0!!!!!!!

Now one drop of white blood will count as one less black person. This is only because whites desperately need all of the population  increases they can muster. Race became merely an alleged “social construct” expressly to construct statistical courage for those who fear a black planet.

As Hobama/King Shrub 2.0 abuses poor people worse than ever before, the census will fashion more brutally elitist nails within our collective black coffins. We have already been fatally wounded by Obama’s ruthless bilkings. Revised racial labels and the effects of their statistical whitenings will wound us even further.

Racism is in vogue in America. From Proposition 209 to killer cops, the racial lines are becoming more visible and more vicious. So, it is no surprise that those who seek to escape such madness would do so by any means necessary. Some have chosen to use racial labels (via the census) as “white flags” on the battlefields of the racial wars that loom.

Tiger “I am not black/I am Cablinasian” Woods has made racial denial chic. White supremacy is ancient and global. Those who embrace every genetic blood tie, expressly to dilute African blood, are white supremacists. Ever notice how Tiger never says he is not Thai? Mixed race persons typically embrace the race of the parent who is not black.

No human is racially pure!!! We are ALL “multi-ethnic”. So why has the alleged inaccuracy of racial labels suddenly become a new and urgent issue? Because new schemes require new tools. Those who embrace new labels are co-conspirators of racist neocons who fear a black planet.

Affirmative action is mandatory for affirmative discrimination. Capitalism fashions a permanent underclass. Proposition 209 secures the permanency of that underclass. There is no better way to increase a pending white minority than to begin stealing statistical numbers from black populations.

Every human action is political. Everyone has the right to identify their race as they choose. But to allow neocons to tailor that choice into a political noose, to be used to further lynch Black America, is sheer racist evil! The census dictates how federal funds will be spent. What is already unfairly distributed, racially, will become even more wrongly disbursed.

Tiger and his rainbow ilk are willing agents in a plot to whiten America’s populace on paper. At a time when whites desperately seek to boost their tallies, new racial labels on the census are ideal tools. Such sinister numerical schemes are fatal for black Americans, economically, socially, and politically.

This plot will lead to a multilevel, color coded caste system akin to that of South Africa. Racist mayors and congresspersons already enforce a covert apartheid upon Black citizens. New racial labels are being enthusiastically welcomed by such racist fascists.

There are many things that new labels will never do. They will never make Tiger Woods safe at a KKK rally. They will never stop killer cops from bashing in brown multi-ethnic skulls during traffic stops. And, they will never slow the flow of the New World Order.

On plantations, "house niggers" embraced their special labels. Their white blood even won them favors from the masters they revered. Yet, they were still slaves! They were the slaves whom masters respected least, because they betrayed their own black people. Even specially labeled persons are oppressed, still.

History repeats itself. Truth is eternal. A regal warrior and griot named Malcolm X stated:

“When you’ve got some coffee that’s too black, which means it’s too strong, what do you do? You integrate it with cream. You make it weak. But, if you pour too much cream in it, you won’t even know you ever had coffee. It used to be hot. It becomes cool. It used to be strong. It becomes weak. It used to wake you up. Now, it puts you to sleep...” (1963, “Message To The Grass Roots”, Malcolm X Speaks)

Those who seek to re-label races seek to weaken black populations and black political power. They are using their multi-racial blood as a political sedative; a ploy to increase white supremacy. I advise them to wake up before we all lose this genocidal game of colors.

I have really tried to ignore Tiger Woods’ self hatred for a long time. For many reasons...I admire his outstanding talent. I am proud that he reigns supreme in a racist arena. And, I have no real interest in sports. But, I am REALLY interested in racial apologists.

No one is racially “pure”. But, is it necessary to be selective about impurity? Why must so many Black persons embrace every race EXPRESSLY to publicly dilute African blood?

Tiger told Newsweek magazine (12-9-96) that he was “1/8th African American”. Why does he chant such manic mantras? Would slave traders have stuffed Tiger’s black body into only 1/8th of any hole in the bowels of any slave ship? Would slave masters have whipped Tiger on only 1/8th of his black back? Would Klansmen (even today) lynch Tiger into within only 7/8ths of an inch of his life? Will the racial genocide that neocons are planning affect only 1/8th of Tiger’s future, as a visibly Black man in America? Will the New World Order pre-empt only 1/8th of his future golf victories?

Tiger’s father speaks very candidly about neglecting three other children by a previous spouse. I wonder if she is Black. Why do so many Black men find it easier to be real fathers to children who look least like them? Because they hate themselves. Such self hatred infects generations...

Tiger’s father has been an outstanding golf coach. He has fashioned a true champion. However, it is painful to witness the failure of his coaching of Tiger’s racial character. He has also fashioned a true racial apologist. Tiger decoded: “Ah is da king uh golf massas. But don’t y’all fret none, cause ah’s only 1/8 nigger!”

Tiger has 1/8th of a soul, and 0% of my respect. Foolish, eurocentric human mutts like Tiger are a disgrace to real humanitarians and racial realists. He plays like a champion, but he speaks like a chump.

But, who knew that Tiger Woods was so untamed? Who knew he was a discreet whore? Did his wife Elin beat him up before she beat up his SUV? Do the Woods really think they are fooling anyone?

No husband jumps into a car barefoot, to drive off in the wee hours of the morning, on a holiday weekend, unless he is engaged in grave domestic drama. Cheating husbands do not seriously wreck cars in the driveway unless they are engaged in domestic brawls, drugged, or inebriated. Enraged wives do not engage in auto rescue missions with golf clubs after midnight…

Tiger reportedly claimed Elin had “gone ghetto” . If Elin is ghetto for being angry about his whores, is Tiger not even more ghetto for his serial whoring with a stable of bimbos? As the classic band War told us all long ago, “the world is a ghetto” .

Rage is universal. All spouses brawl. Privacy is a relic for everyone, especially indiscreet celebrities. This story grows more typical and more transparent each day.

Young men MUST wake up and man up about young women. Young women are not like your moms. They bear no resemblance to women who are over 40. They will never be your silent doormats or docile punching bags. Your infidelities will never be as peacefully enjoyed as your dads’ were. Those sadistically sexist blissful days are long gone. I admire young women for their refusal to be abused without consequences. GO BABY SISTERS!! !

Kudos to Tiger for belatedly doing the right thing by protecting Elin from the rage that his habitual adultery righteously evoked. Chivalry trumps lust. Tiger’s most severe problem is that bimbo eruptions trump billions in endorsements.

Now, Tiger needs to cease with his cowardly blog posts and do some immediate formal and personal damage control ASAP! Perhaps he should begin with a phone call to alleged rapist Kobe Bryant’s attorney. Like Tiger’s eurocentric libido, Kobe’s spin control team has an excellent track record.

Best wishes to Tiger and his wife Elin with their newfound solidarity under duress. Secrecy trumps hedonism! If their collective silence does not remain golden, a lucrative divorce is a glittering option.

{2010 - Racist myths about fatal bee attacks have returned to headline news....Shame!!!}

Racism is rampant in America. Everywhere. Even in the propaganda about “killer bees”. In 1957, scientists (crazed by capitalism) decided to cross breed energetic and docile African bees with European bees, to increase honey production, pollination, and profits. They spawned vicious genetic mutations that now threaten us all.

Honey bees are natively European. Because their performance is genetically affected adversely in tropical climates, scientists cross bred them with African worker bees. The goal was to design a honey bee that could reap cash in warm climates. The American diet consists of produce, seeds, and fibers which require the pollination of plants that grow in warm climates. Capitalists are always blinded by dollar signs. They have no regard for the deadly consequences of their greed.

Entomologists say that these new bees are superior workers. They pollinate earlier in the morning. They work harder all day and later into the afternoon. They hate loud noises and are easily irritated. They aggressively defend their hives. Most importantly, they genetically eliminate European bees within six weeks. 

Our racist media have coined the phrase “Africanized bees” because racism dictates that everything African is black, violent, stronger, and genetically overpowering. These bees are currently taking over southern states. They are slandered and feared. Much like their fellow Africanized humans, who are equally feared by those deluded about affirmative action and frantic about an encroaching Black planet. 

DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

It would be far more accurate to refer to these bees as Europeanized, in honor of their native continent, the white scientists who fashioned them, the white lies that are being told about them, and the white "god complex" that inspired their demonic mutation!!!

Scientists continue to create monstrous experiments, simply because they can, arrogantly irrespective of whether they should. Until they develop a collective humanity, and are moved by aims greater than greed, we will all continue to suffer for their scientific sins.

Slavery was designed to destroy us. It was designed to empty us of any love for ourselves, our people, and our way of life.

Lincoln wanted to know how he might send us back to Africa without impacting the economic empire of America that was built by Africans. There was no national debate on post-slavery. There was no plan put in place to integrate or assemble Africans into the American society to be on equal footing with whites. It is plain to see that the intent of our captors was to keep us enslaved and keep using our backs, talents, skills, and gifts to build this empire.

The very essence of the idea of depending upon any political party for our liberation is a colossal example of our failure to be critical thinkers. We were enslaved under both political parties. We were brought to America to be slaves and nothing else. Neither party has a vested interest in our liberation.”
